Windchimes

These are some windchimes I made a few years ago. They are made out of copper tube with a mahogany top. This set of chimes are tuned to a Japanese sakura scale.
To scale the chimes the relationship between each note is calculated as a relative change in length of the chime. For a semi-tone change the frequency is altered by one twelfth root of 2.
The chiimes were drilled and polished to be hung with cotton string. For a more weather resistant windchime a plastic based string would work better. These chimes are great for the indoors.
